UMHB women's basketball still ranked in both national polls

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball team is still highly ranked in both of the national polls again this week. The Cru remained 9th in the country in the D3hoops.com Top 25 and dropped one spot to #11 in the nation in the WBCA Top 25 Poll.

The Cru received votes worth 121 total points to fall to 11th in the WBCA Top 25 Poll. Bowdoin is ranked #1 with five first-place votes and 197 total points. 

Thomas More, one of just two teams to defeat UMHB this season, is ranked second with three first-place votes and 195 total points. U.T.-Dallas is ranked 16th by the WBCA and East Texas Baptist is ranked 21st to give the American Southwest Conference three teams in the poll.

UMHB totaled 409 points to remain at #9 in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll. Bowdoin holds down the top spot with 16 first-place votes and 616 total points. Thomas More is ranked second after taking nine first-place votes and 608 total points. ETBU dropped three spots to 16th and U.T.-Dallas held steady at #18 again this week.

The Cru women finished the regular season with a 23-2 overall record and went 15-1 in ASC play to win the West Division. UMHB will host the ASC Championship Tournament this week and open with a 7:30 p.m. quarterfinal game against Louisiana College on Thursday.
