TEMPLE, Texas — A deadly crash closed the southbound lanes of I-35 near exit 301 in Temple Tuesday morning.
The crash was reported around 5 a.m. Investigators said a sedan lost control and was hit by an 18-wheeler. Erica McCrary, 28, who was a passenger in the car, was killed.
The driver was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical-Center with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
Traffic was diverted to the service road during the crash cleanup
The investigation is ongoing.
