WACO, Texas — Traffic may move a little slower than usual tomorrow as the Texas Department of Transportation plans to close a road and a few lanes that run through Waco due to roadwork.
The north to southbound frontage road turnaround at North Loop 340 will be closed for work on the southbound I-35 overpass from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 14. There will also be various lane closures on the east and westbound lanes of North Loop 340.
TxDOT said one lane in each direction will stay open for the duration of the work.
Crews plan to make adjustments to the southbound exit ramp 338A for US 84/Waco Drive. So, crews will close the outside I-35 southbound main lane from Behrens Circle to US 84/Waco Drive tonight and tomorrow night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The southbound 338A exit will also be closed Jan. 14 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to finish the work.
Drivers looking to use that exit will be directed to Exit 339 instead.
