WACO, Texas — Two people were ejected from their vehicle after it rolled over into a field next to an intersection in Waco on Dallas St. and Harlem Ave. around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Wanda Hood, 69, died at the scene. The driver, a 63-year-old Darrell Wayne Hood, had minor to no injuries and was detained as part of an intoxication investigation.
Neither passengers were wearing seatbelts.
Hood turned himself in connection to the investigation and was charged with intoxicated manslaughter.
