WACO, Texas — Nearly a year after a crash involving a Waco officer during a police funeral procession, the Waco Police Department arrested the alleged driver who caused the crash.

At the same time, the unidentified Waco officer was traveling through the intersection and crashed into James' vehicle, police said.
A second Waco police officer was called out and responding to the crash when that officer got involved in a separate collision at the intersection of South 18th Street and Clay Avenue.
Both officers were transported to the hospital. One was released shortly afterward, police said.
The officer on the motorcycle has been recovering from his injuries since the crash, police said.
