We`ll keep rain chances out of the forecast Friday night., but it will be a much more humid night overnight lows dropping only into the low to mid-70s.

Saturday will be breezy conditions across the region and temperatures should be a couple of degrees warmer than today. A weak disturbance will rotate east out of New Mexico during the morning. We should see scattered thunderstorms develop to our west. Some of these may impact the area late Saturday night.

The main theme of the extended forecast is an uptick in hot, humid conditions this weekend, as well as an increase in thunderstorm chances, primarily Sunday into Monday.

Severe weather potential does not appear markedly high, but focused areas of heavy rain, flooding and or damaging wind potential could materialize.

The fire weather threat will remain low through the next week as there will be several opportunities for rainfall, as well as below

normal temperatures. A stronger weather system will invade the region by Sunday, increasing the potential for showers and storms across the entire region through the middle of next week.
