The Centerville Pie Company consists of a retail pie store and a small restaurant in a Cape Cod strip mall.
The retail pie shop has its own entrance and is connected to the restaurant inside.
The cafe is a diner-style operation with simple breakfast and lunch dishes, and of course, the signature pies.
There are just four stools at the diner counter, and all the available pies offered daily are displayed on overhead blackboards.
The Shepard’s Pie (left) and spinach and feta pie are served on a sampler with a side of vegetables.
The gravy on the Shepard’s Pie is very thick, fresh, rich and delicious.
The main event at Centerville Pie Company and the dish that made Oprah’s Favorite Things list is the Signature Chicken Pie, with nothing but lots of meaty chicken and gravy. It is on the menu every day and served with a veggie side and cranberry sauce.
The All Berry pie combines blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cranberries and blackberries.
All of the savory pies, such as clam (pictured), are offered frozen to take home (or sold online and shipped) with reheating instructions.
The clam pie, available by the slice, has a very rich and creamy consistency.
The French Meat pie, a blend of seasoned pork and beef with some masked potatoes whipped in, is available by the slice.
Cape Cod Crunch is a chocolate cream pie with bits of toffee in it.
Strawberry shortcake is reimagined as pie.
There are three rotating savory pies offered daily – one is always the signature chicken pie -- plus lots of other food specials.
Besides pie, the signature dish at Centerville Pie Company is the homemade chicken salad, available with cranberries and walnuts.
There are a few Portuguese touches on the menu, including spicy sliced linguica sausage on breakfast sandwiches. The influence comes from the large Portuguese population in coastal Massachusetts.
Sandwiches come with a bag of potato chips, and tater tots are a popular side. The rich gravy from the Shephard’s Pie is also an option.
The restaurant has a folksy diner feel.
The retail pie shop is next to the restaurant and many guests take home frozen pies after eating here.
Fifteen flavors of sweet dessert pies are sold to go in two sizes (small pictured).
A large sweet dessert pie is packaged for takeout.
