Smoke seen in the air from 232-acre prescribed burn in Waco

The announcement came around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

WACO, Texas — The Waco Fire Department announced that it is assisting Texas A&M Forest Service with a 232-acre prescribed burn on Wednesday, Jan. 31. 

According to the fire department, the burn is happening along Reynold's Creek on the northern side of Lake Waco. 

Reports of visible smoke are coming from as far away as Temple.
