Update | 3:08 p.m. | Southbound main lanes were reopened Tuesday afternoon after a pair of crashed semis were removed. Traffic, however, was still moving slowly between Central Avenue and Berger/Hart Road north of Temple, per TxDOT.

A crash involving two semis caused major delays Tuesday afternoon on southbound I-35 at mile marker at the Central and Adams Avenue underpass in Temple.
According to TxDOT, the accident blocked both lanes and the estimated time to clear was two to four hours.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene.
TxDOT recommended for drivers to take the following route:
- Exit 304 to Loop 363
- Turn right and drive six miles to I-35
- Turn right and drive to on-ramp
