Grant funds available for low-income Belton homeowners

The registration period for the HOME Program in Belton is open until Oct. 15.

BELTON, Texas — Grant funds will be available for low-income Belton homeowners through the HOME Program, the city announced Thursday.

The registration period for the HOME Program for Belton residents is open until Oct. 15.

The HOME Program is administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs and provides funds to replace homes for low-income residents who meet the following program requirements:

  • Own and occupy the home;
  • Live in the Belton city limits;
  • Property must be free from liens and other encumbrances or restrictions;
  • Be low-income (see application)
  • No delinquent property taxes

 Applications forms are available online in English and Spanish, or at Belton City Hall, 333 Water Street, Belton, Texas, 76513.
