WACO, Texas — A 41-year-old man is dead after being shot in Waco on Friday, Feb. 23.
This is the first homicide investigation of 2024, Waco Police Department said.
According to Waco PD, they were called to the 200 Block of Mary Ave, at around 5 a.m. Upon arrival officers found a man who had been shot.
The victim died at the scene, Waco PD said.
According to officers, there was a fight that took place between multiple individuals that led to the victim being shot. Officers have not found any suspects involved in the alleged murder.
The name of the man has not been made public. Waco PD is asking anyone with information to call them at 254-750-7500.
