17-year-old dies in Temple crash

An adult female and three children in the Expedition were taken to a local hospital.

TEMPLE, Texas — A 17-year-old male is deceased following a crash in Temple, according to the Temple Police Department.

At around 7:18 p.m., officers arrived to a traffic accident in the 3300 block of Charter Oak Drive. According to officers,  a 17-year-old male, driving a pickup truck was travelling southbound on Charter Oak Drive. Meanwhile, a Ford Expedition was traveling northbound on Charter Oak Drive. 

The pickup crossed over to the northbound lane crashed head into the Expedition. 

According to officers, the 17-year-old died from his injuries. An adult female and three children in the Expedition were taken to a local hospital. According to officers, they had non-life-threatening injuries. 

TPD is investigating this collision. Anyone with information is advised to contact the TPD at 254-298-5500 or the Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526- 8477.
