KILLEEN, Texas — A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with DWI after leaving the scene of a crash, according to Killeen Police.

According to officers, on January 5, at around 10:57 p.m. a red Dodge SUV crashed into a marked Killeen Police patrol vehicle at the intersection of N. 10th St. and Santa Fe Drive.

The officer in the crash was not seriously injured, KPD said.

The driver of the SUV did not stop and fled the scene immediately. The KPD unit did not chase the suspect, due to vehicle damage from the crash.
