2 arrested after Copperas Cove police find nearly 60 lbs. of marijuana, other drugs in residence

COPPERAS COVE, Texas — Two Copperas Cove women were arrested Wednesday after officers found nearly 60 pounds of marijuana and thousands of pounds of other drug paraphernalia, according to the Copperas Cove Police Department.

The department posted on Facebook that it arrested 30-year-old Zenyth Charlotte Gale and 44-year-old Celesta Jane Montoya after officers served a search warrant in the 600 block of Mary Street on Wednesday, March 27 before 7 a.m.

During the search, officers found inside the residence:

  • Over 5,000 grams of mushrooms
  • 57.13 pounds of marijuana
  • 41.4 grams of cocaine
  • Over 4,000 abuse units of LSD
  • Over 10,000 grams of THC concentrate products

Gale and Montoya both face multiple charges, including first degree felonies and second degree felony charges.

Both women were arraigned on Thursday with a total bond amount of $40,000.

The investigation was a joint effort between CCPD and the Bell County Organized Crime Unit.
