Police chase ends in crash after Temple vehicle theft and assault

The five suspects are described as wearing gloves, masks, and hoodies, officers said.

TEMPLE, Texas — Five suspects stole a vehicle on Dec. 9 leading to a car crash in Belton, according to Temple Police Department.

Temple PD said at around 5:20 a.m., they were called to the 2200 block of Carriage House Drive for a shots fired call and burglary of a vehicle. When they arrived, they learned the suspects stole a vehicle from that location and fired shots at the witness. 

According to officers,  the witness was not injured. Officers were provided with a vehicle description, which they were able to locate. 

Officers followed the vehicle that was headed towards Belton. Additional law enforcement agencies assisted with the vehicle’s pursuit. 

According to officers, they witnessed the vehicle crash in the 200 block of McDowell Street in Belton. Five suspects got out of the car and fled on foot. 

The five suspects are described as wearing gloves, masks, and hoodies, officers said. They have yet to be located.
