Suspect in custody after allegedly setting trailer on fire in Oakwood

The Oakwood Fire Department was reportedly able to save a nearby residence from burning as well.

OAKWOOD, Texas — A suspect is in custody after allegedly setting a trailer on fire in Leon County, TX, reported Leon County Emergency Management (LCEM).

LCEM stated that Oakwood Fire, SJEMS, Oakwood Police and Oakwood Emergency Management responded to the 500 block of Academy Hill in Oakwood around 5:10 p.m. on Feb. 2.

LCEM stated a trailer was intentionally set on fire. Oakwood Fire was reportedly able to save a nearby residence which was also starting to catch.

One suspect is reportedly in custody.

No further information has been given at this time.
