Suspect identified, arrested after Kempner deadly shooting

When police arrived, they found 19-year-old Jerry Shawn Worsham dead. An investigation has been launched into the shooting.

KEMPNER, Texas — On Thursday, the Kempner Police Department arrested 21-year-old Timothy Wayne Chaudin following a shooting that left one person dead in November.

Police said Wayne reportedly shot and killed 19-year-old Jerry Shawn Worsham in the 100 block of Orchard Street.

Worsham was pronounced dead by Lampasas County Justice of the Peace Dan Hause at the scene. There will be an autopsy done for Worsham, according to police.

The Lampasas County Sheriff's Office assisted in Chaudin's arrest.
