Two Temple convenience stores robbed in one hour, police say

Police said a man robbed two Temple convenience stores in less than an hour late Thursday night.

TEMPLE, Texas — Temple police said two convenience stores were robbed within an hour of each other Thursday night.

The first robbery happened just before 10 p.m. at the 7-11 at 4315 West Adams. Police said a man wearing a red or orange hoodie and black sweatpants with a white drawstring demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint then left.

He is described as black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.

A man matching the same description walked into the Valero at 1601 East Adams just before 11 p.m. and robbed the clerk there at gunpoint, police said. Police said he was also wearing what appeared to be red, white and blue Nike shoes.

Police said while the descriptions are very similar, they did not want to say for sure it was the same person.
