Waco PD in need of community's assistance in homicide investigation

The incident left a 39-year-old man dead and two teenagers injured.

WACO, Texas — The Waco Police Department is asking for the community's help in the city's second homicide of the year, which occurred on Feb. 24. 

According to Waco PD, they believe that there is possible video evidence of or in relation to the crime and if you come forward with this video and it leads to an arrest, you could be rewarded up to $2,000.

On Monday, Feb. 26, Waco PD identified 39-year-old Winfred Talley Jr. as the victim in this homicide investigation. 

According to Waco PD, on Saturday, Feb. 24, officers were called to the 600 Block of Ruby Avenue at around 3 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found two teenage girls and Talley, all suffering from gunshot wounds. Both girls were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be okay, According to Waco PD. 

Waco PD says Talley's injuries were too severe and he died at the hospital. 

According to officers, there was a fight that took place between multiple individuals that led to the victims being shot. Officers have not found any suspects involved in the alleged murder.
