Update: Individual from Waco hit-and-run involving pedestrian comes forward

According to police at the scene, they located a 41-year-old male who was hit twice by two vehicles.

WACO, Texas — Waco Police Officers have located the owner of the vehicle that left the auto-pedestrian crash, which took place on Friday, Oct. 27th, at 8:59 p.m.

The hit-and-run was at the intersection of 18th and Proctor Avenue. According to police at the scene, they located a 41-year-old male who was hit twice by two vehicles. 

According to officers, the pedestrian was walking in the roadway when he was first hit by the first vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle stopped to provide assistance. However, a second car hit the same pedestrian and did not stop. 

According to officers, the male was transported to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.

Officers were looking for the second vehicle involved, which was a four-door vehicle with a white/primer gray hood and a right front fender that was also white/primer gray. The induvial came forward and the investigation is ongoing.

Waco Police Department is investigating this hit-and-run. Anyone with information is advised to contact WPD at 254-750-7500.
