60-year-old pedestrian left with serious injuries after being hit by car in Waco

According to police, live-saving efforts were taken by citizens and officers on the scene.

WACO, Texas — The Beverly Hills Police Department is investigating a pedestrian collision that left 60-year-old Odell Reed in critical condition on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

According to police, around 7:46 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Valley Mills Drive in Waco to the report of a car hitting a pedestrian.

Police say officers discovered that Reed had been hit by a 2011 Lexus driven by 31-year-old Kierra Young, who had her 6-year-old daughter in the car at the time. 

Through their investigation, officers say Reed had been in the main driving portion of the Valley Mills eastbound lane.  

According to police, life-saving measures were taken by citizens and officers on Reed, he was eventually taken to a local hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition. 

Beverly Hills Police, Fire and the Waco Police, Fire and Crime Victim Services all responded to the incident. At this point, the Beverly Hills Police Department is still investigating the collision.
