Balcones Distilling to give out free sanitizer

The distillery will be giving away one 100ml bottles to local residents in a drive-thru event

WACO, Texas — Balcones Distilling in Waco started making sanitizer during the coronavirus pandemic and will now be giving the product away for free to local residents. 

The giveaway will take place Saturday, April 18 from noon to 6:00 p.m. at the distillery located at 225 S. 11th St. in Waco.

Each car will get one 100ml bottle of Balcones-made sanitizer and customers will also have the option to buy an additional bottle for $2. If customers choose to buy a bottle of Balcones whiskey, they will get $10 off each bottle.  

A representative for Balcones said the distillery will have 2,500 bottles of sanitizer available.

The sanitizer will be given out in the parking lot.  Customers will be asked to remain in their cars.  Balcones employees will be required to wear face masks and gloves for protection.
