LACY LAKEVIEW, Texas — Lacy Lakeview City Manager Calvin Hodde confirmed with 6 News that Police Chief Jeron Barnett was fired on Wednesday, April 3.
According to Hodde, there are currently no plans in place to replace Barnett and the city will wait to decide which direction it wants to go in when selecting a new police chief.
In the meantime, Hodde says Capt. David Cummings will serve as the interim chief.
No explanation was given for Barnett's firing.
