Speeding motorcyclist killed in Waco crash identified

WACO, Texas — A motorcyclist was killed Monday in a crash on Highway 6 near Imperial in Waco.

Police said Lewis Towner, 49, of Lorena, may have been speeding on a Kawasaki Ninja when he lost control and crashed.

It is unclear if Towner was wearing a helmet, investigators said.

The crash was reported around 12:30 p.m.

No other vehicles were involved, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
