Temple families ask for donations to aid search efforts of 2 missing persons

The GoFundMe campaign's goal of $10,000 will fund private investigator fees and other search effort costs.

TEMPLE, Texas — A GoFundMe page has been created by the families of 32-year-old Michael Swearingin and 28-year-old Jenna Scott to fund search effort costs after the Temple Police Department said the two went missing Friday.

Any money donated to the $10,000 campaign goal is said to help pay fees for a private investigator and other search effort costs, according to the page's description.

Officials said Swearingin and Scott were last heard from around 3 a.m. Friday and may be driving a gray Hyundai Genesis.

While Jenna's brother, Talon Scott, said he fears his sister could be in danger, Temple police said Swearingin's health is another concern.

"Both of these kids have parents that are searching and praying for their safe return," the GoFundMe page description states.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500.
