Two Waco PD officers injured in crash

According to police, a passenger in the car that was being pursued was also taken to the hospital.

WACO, Texas — The Waco Police Department says two officers were injured in a crash that occurred while chasing a suspect, identified as Paul Resendez, on Thursday, March 14. 

According to Waco PD, officers attempted to pull over Resendez in the 3300 block of Speight. However, he refused to stop and a chase ensued. 

While chasing the Resendez, the patrol car that initiated the pursuit crashed into another car at Franklin and Valley Mills. 

Waco PD says two officers and one person who was in the car being pursued were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Resendez was being chased was arrested near the 3100 block of Franklin, according to Waco PD.
