Waco residents without power, roads closed after electrical fire

Waco residents near N. 6th St. and Austin Ave. experienced a power outage after an electrical fire in a manhole in the area, according to the Waco Fire Department.

WACO, Texas — Waco residents in the N. 6th St. and Austin Ave. are were without power Sunday evening after an electrical fire in a manhole was reported in the area, according to the Waco Fire Department.

Waco fire tweeted the fire was put out, but the roads to the intersection would remain closed while Oncor crews worked to restore power.

There was no estimated time for electricity to return or roads to reopen.
