Lula Jane's in Waco was one of 13 Texas restaurants that made Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. 2019 list.
The restaurant ranked 71 overall and eighth in Texas.
Lula Jane's, located on Elm St., opened in 2012 to become the first garden-to-table restaurant in Waco. It features a vegetable, herb and flower garden on site and uses its own water collection system.
Everything sold inside is made in-house from scratch. As a small batch bakery, Lula Jane's is able to keep its products as fresh as possible.
Nancy Grayson, the business' owner, said she didn't know Lula Jane's had made the list until her friend shared the article with her on Facebook.
"We were stunned," Grayson said. "First I thought 'top 100 in what?' But when we realized it was the United States, that was a huge deal."
The restaurant ranked eighth among Texas restaurants featured on the list and was the only restaurant in Central Texas that made the cut.
