ARRIVING IN TAMPA
Hey all, it's Leslie Draffin. I'm in Tampa, finally, after a long day of traveling!
My day started early, at 5:45 a.m. in Temple to be exact. I quickly grabbed my bags and headed to the KCEN studio to meet up with Kurtis Quillin. I chatted with Texas Today anchors Heidi Alagha and Chris Rogers about the week ahead and then loaded up a van to pick up Nick Canizales.
Road tripping with Kurtis and Nick to Dallas was... interesting! Let's just say I didn't get to pick the music (maybe next time!). Altogether, I counted 12 bags between us, including all our camera gear! After some breakfast tacos, we were off and ready to board the plane.
While in line to grab our seats, we made friends with several Baylor Women's Basketball fans, including a couple who've been to every single Final Four in the team's history! The flight took less than two hours, or a few episodes of the TV show I'm currently watching "This is Us" (no spoilers I'm not fully caught up).
Next thing I knew, we were in sunny FLORIDA!
The weather is beautiful and signs celebrating the Final Four were everywhere! We grabbed our SUV (extra large because of all those bags) and headed to the hotel where we met up with Jessica Morrey. Jessica had landed in Tampa on Tuesday after killing it in Greensboro, NC covering the Lady Bears. We're sharing a room and she's currently taking a cat nap (she deserves it, I don't think she's had a full day off in a while)!!

I'm off to bed so I can wake up bright and early for Texas Today and then visit some of the "Tampa Must-See" locations!
