SALADO, Texas — A major accident is causing traffic backup along the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 near Salado Friday night, according to the Salado ISD Police Department.
The department posted the traffic alert on its Facebook page just before 10 p.m., saying the accident happened near Exit 283.
Police officers and fire crews are currently at the scene.
Though official details are limited, local residents posted on Facebook about how they've were stuck in traffic for hours.
