WACO, Texas — The City of Waco will begin milling operations on the SL 121 Nolan Creek bridge deck starting March 14 through March 18.

The closure will start just before Nolan Creek to after the bridge ends and will reduce traffic to one lane. The bridge will be closed for construction from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The construction is part of TxDOT’s ongoing project to widen SL 121 from W Avenue O to Sparta Road to a four-lane divided highway, add shared-use paths and sidewalks and add a two-way left turn lane from Sparta Road to FM 439.

Construction workers will be in the area flagging and directing traffic in the area.

Like always, TxDOT encourages drivers to pay attention, mind their speed and eliminate distractions while driving through work zones.
