City of Waco lifts water restrictions after Lake Waco refills to 100% capacity

The City of Waco said mandatory water restrictions have been lifted, including the two-day per week watering schedule.

WACO, Texas — The City of Waco has officially lifted water restrictions after recent rainfall brought water levels at Lake Waco back to 100% capacity.

City of Waco Water Utility Services announced the restrictions had been lifted on Monday, Oct. 30, saying that thanks to rain and conservation efforts, the lake had been completely refilled.

As of Oct. 30, the City said mandatory water restrictions, including the two-day per week watering schedule, had been lifted at this time.

Water Utility Services thanked residents and City departments for their cooperation during the drought.

The City of Waco said City staff will continue to monitor lake levels throughout the year. 

According to the Water Utility Services website, Lake Waco water levels at the time of writing are at a mean water level of 463.58 ft, with reservoir storage at 200,985 acre-ft and conservation storage at capacity at 189,418 acre-ft.
