ORIGINAL STORY:

The National Weather Service confirmed in a preliminary report that an EF-2 tornado touched down in West Temple Wednesday.

NWS said that they estimate the tornado had maximum winds of 120 mph. An EF-2 tornado can range anywhere from 111 mph to 135 mph, according to NWS.

This report coincides with the City of Temple's information that it released earlier Thursday of how West Temple was hit the hardest from Wednesday's storms. There were no deaths reported, but over 30 people were injured and 100 to 200 homes and businesses were damaged.
