Explore the world of emergency response vehicles at a free Killeen event

The event will reportedly feature a chance to get "up close and personal" with emergency response vehicles, as well as activities and information for all ages.

KILLEEN, Texas — Ever wanted to see first-hand how the emergency vehicles in your community operate? The City of Killeen and Bell County Public Health District are offering you a chance.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, the City and Public Health District will hold the Touch-A-Truck event, giving community members a chance to "get up close and personal with emergency response vehicles" and learn more about staying healthy and prepared for when disaster strikes.

The event will be held at the Killeen Special Events Center, located at 3301 S. WS Young Dr., and is free to attend.

In addition to the emergency vehicles, the event will also reportedly feature activities for all ages, giveaways from health and safety vendors, essential disaster preparedness tips and information on staying healthy.

Families are invited to attend for "a day of fun, education and community engagement".

The City of Killeen said the event is dedicated to the heroes behind the scenes, their emergency responders.
