Affidavit reveals harrowing details of alleged double murder in West, Texas

McLennan County deputies arrested the suspect just hours following the alleged murders.

MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas — The McLennan County Sheriff's Office released the arrest affidavit for 30-year-old Dillon Bridgers where it details some of the 911 call before he reportedly shot and killed his parents in West, Texas on Wednesday, April 10.

According to the affidavit, McLennan County deputies responded to 5373 Tokio Rd. to the report of a disturbance. While heading to the house, dispatchers told deputies they heard gun shots over the phone, the affidavit states.

Upon arrival, deputies found a man and a woman, both unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit states that a woman had called 911 and began giving the address, but then Bridgers could be heard in the background saying, "who you calling?," to which the woman screamed, "give me the gun!"

The affidavit says the phone then fell and Bridgers can be heard yelling, "did you really do that? You called the cops on your son again." At this time, the woman is heard saying, "give me the gun" as Bridgers continues to yell, making comments about shooting someone and then stating, "I'm not going to shoot anyone else," the affidavit states.

According to the affidavit, the woman continues to plead for the gun stating, "give me the gun, you're losing control." Bridgers then says "no" and states "it's going to happen" when yelling about going to jail.

The affidavit says Bridgers then shouted, "You don't give a [expletive] about your kids, you don't give a [expletive] if they go to jail, that is why y'all are a piece of [expletive]."

According to the affidavit, following this exchange, Bridgers can be heard loading a round into the chamber of the gun, to which the woman said, "Dillon." A gunshot is heard along with the sound of a person falling and moaning, the affidavit states.

The affidavit says Bridgers is then heard saying, "yeah," and then two more shots are heard.

Following this exchange, the affidavit says Bridgers is heard speaking to himself about where the keys to the car are as he was looking for them.

According to the affidavit, the call goes silent until McLennan County deputies arrived to the home. Once there, dispatch told deputies that Bridgers had called 911, telling them that he had shot his parents.

Dillon was located in Downtown Waco around 5 a.m. Wednesday and arrested for capital murder in the shooting deaths of his two parents, according to authorities.
