FALLS COUNTY, Texas — An autopsy is pending for an inmate that died in Falls County custody, according to information shared by Falls County Sheriff Joe Lopez to 6 News.
Ricky Bailey, of Lott, told a jailer that he had trouble breathing on Monday around 12:20 a.m. He later was taken to the Falls County Emergency Room, where he died. Bailey had ties to Lubbock as well.
Next of kin has been notified, and an autopsy has been ordered by Justice of the Peace Judge Preble Polk to determine what caused Bailey's death.
An investigation is not being conducted by the Texas Rangers.
