Retoma Park in Robinson reopens after beehive removal

Police said the beehive was located and a removal company had been called in to help.

ROBINSON, Texas — UPDATE: Robinson police said a bee removal company removed the hive Friday morning. Officials said the area was safe and Retoma Park reopened.

Robinson residents in the area of Retoma Park and the 700 block of West Tate were asked to stay inside their homes Friday as bees were “actively swarming" the area.

Police said the beehive was located and a removal company had been called in to help.

Commuters through the area are asked to use caution.
