WACO, Texas — The Waco Family YMCA at 6800 Harvey Road may have been exposed to Legionella bacteria, president and CEO of YMCA of Central Texas Rodney Martin said.
The Waco-McLennan County Public Health District is investigating the occurrence of Legionnaires' disease in two local residents, according to Martin.
"We have been in contact with both the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District as well as the Center for Disease Control and are following their recommendations," Martin said. "We have also contacted an outside expert to complete testing of the Y's water."
