LAS VEGAS — After Kansas City rallied to beat the 49ers in overtime of the Super Bowl, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid both addressed a viral confrontation between the two of them.
During the second quarter after teammate Isiah Pacheco fumbled inside the red zone when Kelce wasn't on the field, the Chiefs tight end ran over to Reid and screamed at him. Kelce bumped the 65-year-old Chiefs coach back a few steps.
“You guys saw that?” Kelce remarked during ESPN's postgame show. “I’m going to keep it between us unless my mic’d up tells the world. I was just telling him how much I loved him.”
Reid also downplayed the moment in his comments after the game, saying that Kelce caught him off balance and "normally I'd give him a little bit, but I didn't have any feet under me."

The Chiefs coach shared that Kelce also apologized after the incident.
"He came over and gave me a hug, said 'sorry about that.' He just wants to be on the field ... He's a competitive kid, and he loves to play. He makes me feel young."
Reid jokingly referred to the confrontation as a "cheap shot" and said Kelce was basically urging him to put him in and he'd score.
During his postgame comments to reporters, Kelce went on to describe Reid as the greatest coach the game as ever seen and one of the best leaders of men he's seen in his life.
"He's helped me a lot with that, with channeling that emotion, with channeling that passion, and I owe my entire career to that guy, being able to control how emotional I get. I just love him man," Kelce said.
