KILLEEN, Texas — W.S. Young Drive bridge was shut down Monday afternoon due to icy road conditions, according to the City of Killeen.
The bridge was shut down from Veterans Memorial Boulevard to Atkinson Avenue, the city said.
At this time, a Winter Storm Warning is in effect until Wednesday morning. 6 News' meteorologists are predicting freezing rain and temperatures dipping below the freezing mark Monday night. As a result, light ice conditions are possible with bridges and overpasses as the main travel hazards for any late commutes.
