Chelsea Tijerina Beaudin was arrested May 2020 for reportedly trying to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband.

HAYS COUNTY, Texas — A former Waco lawyer who was arrested last May for reportedly trying to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband has died in a motorcycle accident Thursday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Around 6:35 p.m. Thursday, DPS troopers responded to a motorcycle crash near Ranch Road 12 and Winter Mills Parkway in Hays County.

DPS troopers soon discovered the driver of the motorcycle, 34-year-old Chelsea Tijerina Beaudin, died at the scene, DPS said.

DPS is investigating this crash.

Beaudin was arrested, alongside Seth Sutton, in May 2020 after being accused of plotting to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband, according to an affidavit. The hitman Sutton reportedly tried to hire was an undercover officer. She was later indicted in August 2020.
