BELTON, Texas — A former Belton High School teacher was formally charged by a Bell County grand jury Wednesday after he accidentally showed pornography to students on a projector during class.
According to the arrest report, on Sept. 28 James Edward Alleman III was beginning class when the pornographic images appeared on the screen.
Investigators searched Alleman's school-issued laptop on Oct. 11 and found that he had searched for pornography in Chinese and Japanese that translated in English to “teen scandal,” “webcam underwear teen,” “teen video chat,” “school girl masturbation,” and other terms, the affidavit said.

While executing a search warrant, investigators also found four videos on an SD card of a young girl who appeared to be changing in a bathroom, according to arrest records. In the video, the girl’s breasts and genitals were exposed, the affidavit said.
Investigators spoke to Alleman’s wife who identified the 10-year-old girl in the video and said the bathroom where the videos were taken appeared to be the bathroom their old house, according to the affidavit.
The child confirmed it was her int he videos, the affidavit said.
Alleman is charged with possession of child pornography.
