SALADO, Texas — Sirena Fest announced that it will be hosting a Kids Extravaganza at Pace Park in Salado on October 5, 2024.
According to a Facebook post from Sirena Fest, this new event will feature plenty of kids activities all for free. However, there will be no alcohol, no vendors and no food trucks at this event.
"After our announcement to move Sirena Fest, we took your feedback very seriously. We heard your sadness at this taking away from local children and families, we heard your concerns about this impacting local businesses, and we heard your complaints about alcohol at the event," Sirena Fest stated on its Facebook page.
Sirena Fest adds that they will be putting out a call for volunteers in the area to help run the kids activities and they hope that those who expressed willingness to help will sign up to do so.
