WACO, Texas — The No. 2 Bears welcomed Auburn to the Ferrell Center on Saturday afternoon, as part of the SEC/Big12 Challenge.
Davion Mitchell had ___ against his former squad. Mitchell played his freshman season at Auburn before transferring to Baylor in 2018.
Baylor went on an 8-0 run late in the first half that helped them build a lead heading into the break. The Bears led by five after the first 20 minutes, with Jared Butler and Mitchell both leading the game with 9 points.
Like many other games this season Baylor came out of the break looking like a brand new team, getting off to a 12 point lead seven minutes into the second half.
Next up for the Bears they'll travel Austin to take on the No. 5 Longhorns on Tuesday, tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
