Cedric Marks, the suspect accused of killing a Temple duo whose bodies were found in Oklahoma, and his friend Maya Maxwell, who confessed to hiding a victim's car, were indicted on capital murder Wednesday.

TEMPLE, Texas — Cedric Marks, the man accused of killing a Temple duo whose bodies were found in Oklahoma, and his friend Maya Maxwell, who confessed to hiding a victim's car, were indicted on capital murder Wednesday, according to Bell County District Attorney Henry Garza.

Jenna Scott, who was Marks' ex-girlfriend, and Michael Swearingin went missing on Jan. 4, 2019, according to their families and police. Police said their bodies were found in a rural Oklahoma town on Jan. 15.

The medical examiner's summary report sent to Channel 6 on Wednesday showed Swearingin's cause of death was strangulation. His full autopsy report was not available according to the medical examiner's office in Oklahoma City.

The medical examiner's office did not send the report for Scott's death.

After leading police on a 9-hour manhunt in Montgomery County during his extradition from Michigan, Marks was booked into the Bell County Jail on Feb. 3.

He was also indicted on burglary of habitation on March 13.
